SETUP / SUBSCRIPTIONS & CLIENTS

Affordable VPN Quick Start

Get your subscription from the account dashboard, then connect through a client. Follow the steps below in order, checking the result at each stage before moving on.

Create an Account and Open Your Dashboard

Start by opening the account creation page in the VPNMH dashboard. No email address required; create an account with a username and password. Choose a username you can save and set a unique password for this service. Don’t use your subscription link as a login credential or reuse a password from another site. Follow the on-screen instructions to access your account.

Once you’re in, check that the Account Overview opens correctly. Creating an account and activating a plan are separate steps: being able to sign in means your account is ready, but usable data for server connections depends on your plan and order status. There’s no need to look for servers in the client yet. First, make sure you can sign in to the dashboard; you’ll use it to get your subscription, check usage, and submit support tickets.

Save your username and password in your password manager. To sign in on another device, use the same account; there’s no need to create another one. VPNMH supports unlimited simultaneous devices, but you’ll need to import the subscription configuration on each device. Device count and plan data are separate, so keep an eye on your data usage when using multiple devices.

Choose a Plan and Check Your Order Status

In the plan section of your account dashboard, choose between a monthly subscription and a data package based on how often you expect to use the service. Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly from the activation date. Data packages are ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB; they last until used and never expire. The main difference is how long you have to use the data, so don’t compare plans by total data alone.

If you expect to use work sites, AI tools, or video services regularly, estimate your typical usage and choose a monthly plan accordingly. If you use the service less often, compare the data package billing options. Video streaming, downloads, and transfers across multiple devices all use data; browsing a webpage uses far less than streaming video. Check the full pricing and terms on the Plans page before choosing in your account dashboard.

Check the plan name, amount, and billing method in the order confirmation section. Choose Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT and follow the on-screen instructions to pay. Then return to the dashboard and check that the order has updated and the plan appears in your account overview. If the payment window confirms payment but your account status hasn’t updated, refresh the order and account pages before taking further action. Don’t pay again for the same order.

VPNMH offers a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. See the Refund Policy for how to request one. When you upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Review the result shown in the dashboard before proceeding; an upgrade does not restart a full billing cycle. Once you’ve confirmed the plan is active, continue to get your subscription.

Get Your Subscription from the Account Overview

Open the account overview and find the subscription section. Look for the option to copy your subscription or import it into a client. The subscription link lets a client retrieve the server configuration available to your account; it isn’t a regular website address or a search term. If the dashboard offers import options for different clients, choose the one that matches the client you plan to use.

To copy your subscription, select the copy option in the dashboard, then switch to the subscription or configuration page in your client and paste it there. Don’t copy the account dashboard URL from your browser’s address bar; that’s the account page, not your subscription. Check that the pasted content is complete and contains no extra text, spaces, or line breaks. If the client can’t recognize the format, copy the link again from the dashboard rather than editing its parameters.

Your subscription link is an account access credential. Keep it on your own devices; don’t post it in public chats, shared documents, screenshots, or online conversion tools. To report an issue, provide the client name, operating system, and error message. Hide the full subscription URL and any sensitive account information in screenshots. If you think someone else may have obtained your link, check whether the dashboard offers a reset option or ask support how to proceed.

At this stage, you should have the subscription from the dashboard and know which client to import it into. If no subscription appears in the account overview, check your plan and order status, then visit the Help Center. Switching servers or changing client connection modes won’t make up for a subscription you haven’t received.

Import the Client for Your Platform

Open the client downloads section in your account dashboard and choose the VPNMH client for your device. The client reads your subscription and manages the connection; the subscription provides your account’s server configuration. Both are needed. Clients are available after sign-in without a paid plan, except on iOS. To use subscription servers, your account still needs an active plan with available data. The iOS download option depends on your plan status in the dashboard.

The steps are the same across platforms: get the right client, open its subscription or configuration manager, import the content from the dashboard, wait for it to load, and check the server list. If the dashboard can open the client directly, use that option. If it doesn’t work, copy the subscription and import it manually. You don’t need to install unverified tools to import a subscription.

Windows: Add a Subscription in Configuration Manager

Get the Windows VPNMH client from the dashboard, follow the installation prompts, and open it. Find the “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or similar section in the main window and choose the option to import from a link. Paste the subscription copied from your account overview. If prompted for a configuration name, choose one that’s easy to recognize; the name only identifies the local configuration and doesn’t affect the server you use. Save it, then update or wait for the client to load the subscription until the server list shows locations and server names.

After importing, select the configuration you just added and open the server page. If the client keeps running in the system tray after you close its window, reopen it from the tray to check its status; you don’t need to reinstall it. If a system permission prompt appears when connecting, confirm it comes from the client you just downloaded, then allow it if needed. Don’t keep switching advanced modes yet; check them later if connection verification calls for it.

macOS: Confirm Import and System Permissions

Choose the VPNMH client for your Mac in the dashboard and install it according to the download instructions. Open the client and add your subscription through its configuration or subscription section using the import option provided in the dashboard. If your browser asks whether to open the associated app, check the app name before continuing. For manual import, paste the subscription into the link field, not the local configuration file picker.

Wait for the server list to load, then choose a server. When you enable the connection, macOS may ask to add a network configuration or approve system permissions. These are separate from importing the subscription: seeing servers in the configuration list means the import is complete, but it doesn’t mean the client is handling network traffic yet. Follow the system prompts to grant the required permissions, check the connection status in the client, then verify access.

Android: Enable the Connection After Importing

Sign in to the dashboard and get the Android VPNMH client, then follow the system installation prompts. Open the client and choose the option to add a subscription by link in subscription or configuration management. Paste the subscription and save it. If the app can detect content from the clipboard, make sure it found the subscription you just copied, not some other text. Once the update is complete, select the configuration and check that the server list appears correctly.

The first time you connect, Android may show a system VPN connection request. Check the app’s source and name, then allow the request and see whether the client shows as connected. If you can’t access the site after switching back to your browser, check that the connection is still running in the app. Background settings may affect whether the app stays active; follow your device’s system instructions to check them. Don’t assume every app is using the selected server just because an icon appears in the status bar.

iOS: Get and Import the Client from the Dashboard

Sign in to your account dashboard on your iOS device and open the client downloads section. Get the VPNMH client through the iOS download option provided there. This option depends on your active plan status; if the page says an active plan is required, check your account status instead of looking for an unverified download link. After installing the client, use the corresponding import option in the dashboard or copy the subscription into the client’s subscription or configuration manager.

Wait until the server list has loaded, then choose a server and connect. If the system asks to add a VPN configuration, check the prompt and confirm through the system flow. If your browser doesn’t open the client, open it manually and try importing the link again. Once imported, you don’t need to paste the subscription each time you connect; just select the saved configuration. Use the client’s subscription update feature when you need to refresh the server configuration.

Linux users can also get the appropriate client from the dashboard and follow the download instructions. You can use the same account on different systems, but import the configuration separately on each one. If import fails or you run into configuration format or background operation issues, check the Help Center. Avoid changing multiple settings at once, so you can tell which change affected the result.

Connect to a Server and Verify Access

After importing the subscription, choose a server in the client and connect. For your first check, choose the location you intend to use and keep the same server so you can assess the result. A server name indicates the selected exit location, but actual access also depends on your local network, the target site’s regional policies, and your account status. Seeing a location in the client doesn’t guarantee that a particular service will work.

Go back to your browser and reopen the site you want to use. First check that a regular webpage loads, then test the service you need. Don’t rely on a page that was already cached before connecting. If the page loads, check that sign-in, content loading, or continuous output works as expected. A connected status in the client and successful use of the target app are two separate things to verify.

If your client offers rule-based and global modes, start with its default recommendation. Rule-based mode may use different routes for different addresses, so some sites may connect directly even when the connection is working. If an app doesn’t use the selected server as expected, check the mode and the app’s own proxy settings first. After making changes, reopen the app and test again. Don’t change servers, switch modes, and reimport the subscription all at once, or it’ll be hard to identify the cause.

If the connection fails, check these in order: whether your plan and data are available, whether the subscription can update, whether the right configuration is selected, and whether the client connection and system permissions are enabled. Then switch servers within the same configuration to see whether the issue affects one server or one service. If all servers fail, note your network type, platform, client message, and the steps you took, then submit a support ticket in your account dashboard. Don’t include the full subscription link.

You’re set up when the client stays connected, the target site loads, and the feature you need works. From then on, check usage in the account overview and update your subscription in the client to load configuration changes. AI services such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini may be affected by regional availability, account status, and streaming connections. For further checks, see the AI Access Guide.
